"Stuck In The Why"

"But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive."  Genesis 50:12

The Lord gave me one word for you this morning..."Don't get stuck in the 'why'".  When things happen in our lives, it's human nature to want to know why it happened.  Until we know we aren't satisfied.  If we just knew why it would help us to cope with it better, it would give us some closure, it would help us to accept it.  This isn't necessarily true.  There are times when we discover "why" and it leads us to more questions, more heartache, more confusion.

I have known people who have wasted their lives trying to figure out why things were like they were, why things didn't go a certain way or turn out like planned, why someone did what they did.  I have also seen them become mean and bitter because the answer given was not to their acceptance...they still demanded a further reason.

Again, don't get stuck in the "why" because there are some 'whys' that we will never understand even when the reason is given to us.  Sometimes instead of trying to know why, you just have to say,"What was meant for evil, God can turn it to good.  And all things work together for the good."

Have a great day.  Ask God to help you get past the "why" and trust that in some way He can bring good out of it.
