A door opens as a door closes,
To let the new come in.
The closing door stops the flow of past history.
The new door opens to let new history begin.
Let us put aside the past of our lives,
Not to cry over things gone by,
But in newness of life let us take courage to go forth,
To shining heights.
"And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known:  I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight.  These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them."  Isaiah 42:16
"Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have:  for he hath said, 'I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee'.  So that we may boldly say, 'The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.'"  Hebrews 13:5,6
When night falls
Everything turns dark;
You can't find your way,
Hold fast to the One
That has already planned
The path that you should take.
He will never leave you alone,
To find your way.
Soon He will bring the dawn.
The above selections were written by Mrs. Betty Bale.  Betty is a widow, mother of eight, a grandmother, and a great grand mother.  She attends church at Frist Assembly of God  in Brookhaven, Mississippi

The first selection was a word that the Lord gave Mrs. Bale on New Years Eve night, as the year 1999 was going out and the year 2000 was coming in.

The second selection was a word that God had used to encourage her at another time.  I'm sure we can all find encouragement in them as well.
