A PRAYER THAT WILL CLEAN-UP YOUR LIFE
Father, in the Name of Jesus, I confess that my life is a mess and I need you to clean me up. I say and do things that I know are not pleasing in your sight. For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me. Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight. (Psalm 51:3-4)
Father, I ask you to forgive me and cleanse me from all unrighteousness. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9)
All the attempts I made to clean up my own life have only made it worse. I understand now that only you have the power to wash me and make me clean. Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. (Psalm 51:2) Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me and I shall be whiter than snow. (Psalm 51:7)
So, Father, I'm asking you to clean out everything in my life that's not like you. Clean out my heart so I can have a pure heart. Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. (Matthew 5:8) Clean out envy, jealousy, strife, malice, and hate and create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. (Psalm 51:10)
Clean out my ears so I can hear your word and do what your word say do. But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. (James 1:22) For it is your word that cleanses us. Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. (John 15:3)
Clean out my mouth so I can stop lying, cursing, jesting, and slandering my sisters and brothers and let my conversation be holy. But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation. ( 1Peter 1:15)
Clean out my mind so I won't think or do evil and let me have a mind like you. Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 2:5)
And, Father, let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer. (Psalm 19:14) A-men
