"GOD OF THE IMPOSSIBLE"

"God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water…" [Genesis 1:19 NIV]
Hagar was in the pit of depression—blind to what was right under her nose. Depression will do that, the dank, dark, depressive darts that rob us of the joy of the Lord is an insipid poison from Satan's bow. It blinds us to the supernatural provision of God in all areas of life. God's answer. God's provision and all that is necessary is 'right under our noses'. The veil that covers our eyes is due to the veil that covers our minds and hearts. Depression is rooted in doubt and doubt produces unbelief.
Depression is also a disease that comes from drinking from a dirty cistern. "My people have committed a compound sin; they've walked out on me, the fountain of fresh flowing waters, and then dug cisterns—cisterns that leak, cisterns that are no better than sieves." [Jeremiah 1:13b TM] Jesus said, "If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water," [John 7:37] Water is the source of life! Whatever the need is Christ Himself has promised to be the provider. Hagar saw God's provision at the well. Abraham's servant met Rebekah at the well. [Genesis 24:45] Moses met Zipporah at the well and the eyes of the woman at the well saw Jesus! [John 4]
How do you lift yourself up when you're all bent over, there's no one around and all you want to do is cover-up your head? The answer is, praise, praise and more praise—God said. "It's the praising life that honors me. As soon as you set your foot on the Way, I'll show you my salvation."[Psalm 50:23 TM] It may come in a word of wisdom—it may come in 'seeing the well' but one thing is for sure the provision will come through the one who provided the wells of our salvation. "When it begins to dawn in my conscious life what God's purpose is, there is the laughter of the possibility of the impossible. The impossible is exactly what God does" [Oswald Chambers]
