Those Gifts of Eternal Treasure!
Matthew 2:9-11 NIV
After they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen in the east went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was. When they saw the star, they were overjoyed. On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold and of incense and of myrrh.
To be in HIS House, a place where Majesty Reigns, always bringing gifts of significant value, this is the honor required of wealthy, wise and worshipful subjects when entering into HIS Holy Presence!
As you see more by and of Holy Spirit, you will have gained wisdom and knowledge, revealing to you CLEARLY who Christ REALLY IS, not just any child born in some small town, laid in a lowly manger and wrapped in swaddling clothes.
NO, HE is the KING of KINGS, born of Holy Spirit, seated as ROYALTY on HIS Throne at the Right Hand of God, and clothed with God's RIGHTEOUSNESS for ALL the world to SEE!!!
Today, too little is being spent traveling into HIS Presence, too much obscurity left to the imagination, and very little, if any TREASURE being laid at HIS blood stained feet!
The Magi traveled from Lands far to the East, bringing with them, excessive wealth, honor and closure to HIS earthly throne to acknowledge the long awaited arrival of the Savior and Redeemer of mankind.
How could someone even consider the idea of being in HIS Holy Presence, without bringing the VERY BEST that they have, only out of RESPECT, HONOR and GLORY that HE is due, just because of WHO HE IS?
This was not just another ordinary birth, of just another child, someone who would grow to be a man, marry and raise a family, toil through a mundane life, only to grow old and die as those before HIM.
NO, Christ lived HIS life among us with the same ROYALTY, DIETY and POWER that HE posseses even now in heaven, HE DIED that WE MIGHT LIVE, by HIS RESURRECTION and HIS seating in heaven as the HEAD of a FAMILY KINGDOM!
As a Believer in Christ,
O'Lord, with every breath that I take, I must give YOU all the Glory and Honor YOU are due, Treasures I will lay at YOUR feet, to be built up and stored for that Day of Judgement, where my every labor and deed will be sifted and tried by YOUR Holy Fire, to be an eternal dowry, that which is OWED to YOU, Christ, the HUSBAND of HIS Spotless Bride!!!
I awoke from my slumber, and found REST in YOU, O'Lord!!!
